A smart city can be defined as a city overlaid by a digital layer, which is used not only for storing city information but overall for its governance. The 6th International Conference on Smart Data and Smart Cities will present novel research concerning the use of information and communication technologies in Smart Cities, and will also provide a forum for senior researchers to establish collaborations on new research projects in this domain. Moreover, a smart city should not be discussed without considering how to better involve citizens (smart people).
This year's conference will be held at Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Urban Data Management Society. Hopefully, it will be a hybrid conference with as many participants as possible in Stuttgart, and a live stream for all those who cannot join due pandemic restrictions that might still be in place in September 2021.
We invite you to submit full academic papers to the conference, related to the following themes:
Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format and formatted using the ISPRS camera ready templates available at here and uploaded to easychair. Submitted papers should report new or improved techniques, algorithms, bench marks, technology developments, frameworks, and best practices, which are not published elsewhere.
Full paper : Submissions are limited to 8 pages. All full paper submissions will be refereed in a double-blind peer review process for quality, originality, and relevance by the scientific committee. Accepted papers will be SCOPUS-indexed and considered for the Best Paper Award. Papers not accepted for ISPRS Annals might be considered for the ISPRS Archives.
Extended abstracts (max 2 pages) : accepted abstracts will be invited for a short paper (4-6 pages) and will be published in the ISPRS Archives.
** Note that full papers submitted for double-blind peer review to the ISPRS Annals must not contain any information which makes it possible to identify the authors. If you would like your paper to be considered for the Annals, please make sure to review any identifying information before submission. If this is not the case, then your paper will be considered for the ISPRS Archives **
